Mini Cream Puffs

Description

Light, airy and absolutely irresistible, these mini cream puffs are the perfect bite-sized dessert for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, bring water and butter to a boil.
  3. Add flour and salt all at once, stirring vigorously until mixture forms a ball.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. Beat in eggs one at a time until dough is smooth and glossy.
  6. Drop teaspoonfuls of dough onto prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until puffed and golden brown. Cool completely.
  8. In a bowl, whip cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  9. Slice puffs and fill with whipped cream just before serving.

Notes

Make sure puffs are fully cooled before filling to prevent the cream from melting.
